Occupational Therapy

Rebuild the skills and routines that support everyday independence.

Care focused on everyday function.

Occupational therapy focuses on the activities a person needs and wants to do. Treatment addresses how injury affects daily living, thinking skills, safety and participation in the home and community.

Areas we may address

  • Daily living activities such as dressing, bathing and household routines.
  • Functional retraining and adaptive equipment.
  • Cognitive strategies, memory aids and activity organization.
  • Home safety and modification recommendations.
  • Vision-related functional needs and caregiver techniques.
  • Return-to-work and pre-driving needs when clinically appropriate.

What to expect.

An occupational therapist evaluates the person’s abilities and barriers in the context of daily life. Findings guide treatment goals, equipment recommendations and strategies that patients and caregivers can use between visits.

The care plan and availability are assessed for each referral. Ask the office about required documentation and payment arrangements.
